6th European Mitsubishi Pajero Meeting!

A 4x4 event organised by the pajero-club-4x4.fr and le-pajero.com web sites at Salives (21 - France) on the 26th and 27th of June 2010

Meeting report by Patrice Letort:

The 6th European Pajero meeting took place under brilliant sunshine at the excellent Salives 4x4 ground, Côte d'Or, France.

For this 6th edition, Manu, who created the www.le-pajero.com web site and the event itself, handed the reins over to the Pajero-Club-4x4 France who organized the event for the first time.

The meeting kicked off on the Friday night when the first arrivals defended the culinary specialities of their regions with the traditional, convivial evening where considerable amounts of meat, cheese and pastries were washed down with considerable amounts of beer, wine and other delights! Everyone was camping on site and managed to find their way back...

Saturday morning saw the opening of the 4x4 ground. To be honest we only saw a part of the immense Salives 4x4 centre because there are actually three different grounds. It really does offer something for everyone!

After some lunch it was time to get down to some serious business... All the participants had the whole of the afternoon find the answers to the quiz (with tricky questions designed to specially to keep them on their toes!) whilst still enjoying the 4x4 ground. By the end of the afternoon it was time to cool off in the water where a special team trial was held. The challenge was simple - at least it appeared to be in theory: complete the trial circuit without spilling the bowl of water entrusted to each passenger! Results were measured by the amount of water left as each team crossed the finishing line...

That evening all the participants were invited to enjoy a meal prepared by the Pajero-Club 4x. For those not already in the know it was a chance to discover the talents of our chef. A big thank you to you-know-who!

The quiz results were anounced over apéritifs and the lucky winners shared some great prizes offered by our sponsors Euro4x4parts and Outback Import (thanks once again to them both !). The lucky ones where rewarded with a winch or a compressor, a snorkel, a jack, wheel extensions, coil springs, steering dampers, etc...

On Sunday morning, some took the opportunity to explore the other grounds at the Salives 4x4 centre, whilst others had a go at quad biking.

When it was time to say goodbye everyone was already thinkng about next years gathering - if not sooner!
