9th Valloire 4x4 Fair (73 - France)!A 4x4 event organised by JB Organisation (jacques-besse-organisation.com) from 25 to 29 August 2010 in Valloire (73 - France)  In the press!"Génération 4x4" magazine n° 24 July - August 2010, p. 20: [...] Tried and tested! Jacques Besse knows what works best and this 9th edition of the Valloire Off-Road Fair will be no exception. Free entry and free parking are pretty strong selling points in these times of economic crisis, but of course they are not the only reasons for this event's continuing success... The fair benefits from a great friendly atmosphere and a prime site along one of the main thoroughfares of the town and of course the full support of local businesses and the town itself who are well aware of the economic boost that the fair brings to the end of the summer season. This year, all 4x4 makes will be featured, and if you're looking to buy a 4x4, there will be a wide choice of new or secondhand models to choose from. The fair continues to offer more and more, from parts, accessories and tyres to travel specialists. Perhaps you'll be able to plan an adventure raid in the next few months? There'll be wealth of destinations to choose from. Attractions include musical events, tombola and the chance to win a 4x4, a quad bike or a motorbike... as well as the winch zone where you'll be able brush up on your technique. You're in for some action packed days in the Savoie, France! As in previous years you'll be able to experience the trial zones, and take part in guided tours in 4x4's laid on by the organizers if you haven't your own vehicle - a great opportunity to follow the tracks high above the village which are only accessible during the fair. They offer superb panoramic views over the neighbouring valleys. [...] Conviviality!Since the Salon 4x4 et Loisirs de Val d'Isère disappeared, the Valloire Fair is the only 4x4 summer event of national... and even European importance. With about 2 months to go before the fair opens (25th to 29th August 2010), Génération 4x4 met up with Jacques Besse to discover more about what's in store at this years Valloire Fair. Extracts from the interview: [...] JB: Not a lot in fact! Above all, we're looking to repeat our past success by building on this formula and maintaining the convivial atmosphere that marks our 4x4 event. We don't want to drift away from our initial aim which is based on a friendly and enjoyable concept, and we also intend to keep the scale of the event and the number of visitors at a manageable level. JB: In theory, and subject to the weather (a major variable in our mountain setting!), we hope to have 20 000 visitors over the 5 days of the fair. In total there will be 70 exhibitors, plus services such as the police, fire brigade, the local authority, etc... As I've already said, conviviality is the key to the success of our Valloire 4x4 fair. Once again we're going to share this atmosphere with the Italians, Swiss, Spanish and Belgians at the show. Mark the date in your diary - 25th August... Everyone is welcome... and of course it's free! [...] Live from Valloire!!! Great weather for Day 1... This year, Hervé Berdah, editor in chief of Génération 4x4 magazine is publishing a daily gazette to cover the event and still makes time to meet all the exhibitors! Repairs, mechanics or back to our stand for some DIY where we are fine tuning our eye-catching display of 4x4 accessories.   ...a fun and informative demonstration: snow chain fitting Day 3 and still plenty of 4x4 activity to enjoy at ValloireA 4x4 trial zoneGood humour reigns, despite the weather. David and JBO Organisation team, present the 4x4 trial zone specially created for the Valloire 4x4 Fair.   He runs through the whole zone before getting behind the wheel of his Nissan Patrol GR and offering a glimpse of this thrilling sport! Enjoy! But first, time to deflate and prepare the 4x4 for the terrain...      For the moment no need for a cap...  ... but it's time for some 4x4 parts, a steering arm for example, and some good tools to recover from the effects of a chance encounter with an uninvited sharp rock! Time for some 4x4 mechanical repairs...   First of all it's time to extract the Patrol from its podium with the help of the JBO organisation team and some recovery straps... Codever is a lobby group that defends the rights of countryside users, motorized or not, to use the lanes and tracks for the benefit of everyone.
