Why change the engine oil and change the filters?  

This simple operation will take you barely an hour.

Very little equipment is required:  an oil filter wrench, an oil recovery pan and a new drain plug gasket. This oil change is recommended every 10,000 to 30,000 km, according to the manufacturer's recommendations.  

For the uninitiated, an oil change is a basic part of maintenance. Periodically, the oil that lubricates the interior of the engine needs to be drained out and replaced. Over time, the oil deteriorates and loses its capacity to lubricate. It is also strongly recommended to change the oil filter at the same time.  

Why pay garage labour when you can do this simple job yourself? It will just cost you the price of the oil, the filter and the drain plug gasket.

Engine oil is essential and also contributes to the longevity of the engine. It prevents friction within moving parts of the engine. The air filter traps impurities in the air system and prevents them from entering the engine so as to ensure the quality of the fuel / air mixture.
