Master and slave cylinder

The clutch master cylinder is connected by a flexible and/or rigid pipe to the clutch slave cylinder. It’s the clutch fluid in the circuit that allows the pedal action to be transferred to the clutch fork.

When there's a leak in the clutch master cylinder, the pedal's pressure is insufficient to disengage the clutch. It becomes impossible to shift gears properly without damaging the gearbox. It's essential to replace the clutch master cylinder promptly. There are clutch master cylinder renovation kits available, offering a more cost-effective solution.
