A 4x4, nothing else!
Having travelled extensively, this young couple are well aware that the most beautiful and remote places can only be reached by 4x4! That's why they've chosen a vehicle that's reliable, relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain, with spare parts generally available worldwide. They sought a compromise between modern comfort and old-fashioned engineering.
Their aim? To simply circumnavigate the globe! After crossing the length and breadth of Western and Central Europe, America is their next stop, and then Asia, India and perhaps the Himalayas! A marvellous 2-year trip to remote regions to get to know the local populations, spend as much time as possible in nature, have some great experiences and make lots of memories. They also hope to inspire other travellers through their adventures!

Let's meet them!
- Giulia (29) is Italian, she grew up in Tuscany dreaming of travelling the world. She studied in the USA, Hong Kong, Italy and other countries. After a career in management consultancy and later in technology, she is now living her dream: travelling in a 4x4!
Luca (28) is half German and half Italian, he grew up near Florence. He met Giulia at secondary school and they started travelling straight away.
They currently live in Berlin, where they are planning their new road trip.
They travel in their Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (Papero), which they have been converting themselves for several years. It’s a Dutch model, manufactured in Russia. Before Luca and Giulia bought the vehicle it had travelled extensively, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. The couple have owned it since 2020, and together they have visited Sicily, the Balkans, the Nordic countries, Greece, Turkey, Georgia (for their honeymoon!)Iceland, and at the moment they are in Morocco!
The Route
South America, Central America and North America.
They may also add South-East Asia, India and the Himalayas. The itinerary is subject to change depending on the geopolitical situation.
Their vehicle
It’s a 2005 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 3.0 V6 with 260,000 km on the clock. It’s been well maintained and Luca will carry out any mechanical and electrical repairs himself on the road.
