An unforgettable raid!
The Morocco Sand Express is more than just a raid in Morocco.
It's an adventure in the desert for sand fans, there's loads of it !
Apart from its legendary conviviality, this raid also enables participants to discover the incredible landscapes of Morocco. There's also the unique courses adapted all levels. The raid is organised by the reassuringly competent "Grand Sud Orientation".
The 7th edition of this superb raid is in Morocco, from May the 5th to the 10th, 2019!

Program
- Sunday, May 5th : Administrative and technical checks in Merzouga from 8am
- 3pm Prologue which will decide the order of departure on Monday morning
- 6pm: training in different methods of navigation: reading a road-book, SatNav and staying on course.
- 8pm: Briefing
- Monday, May 6th : 1st stage: the palm groves 2 laps of a 110km loop (Total 220 km)
- Tuesday, May 7th : A stage point to point of 300 km.
- Wednesday May 8th : A stage point to point of 300 km.
- Thursday, May 9th : A loop of 250 km, return to the hotel
- Friday, May 10th : 2 loops 100% sand of 50 km (total 100km)
- 7pm: Awards evening.

Categories
2 courses, often identical,
- SAFARI: specific course avoiding large dunes, soft sand and difficult ground. For 2 or 4-wheel drive vehicles, old or new. This category is intended for 4x4 or bike competitors with no dune experience or first time rally raid competitors.
- The RALLY RAID: for all the others !!!! All the ergs in the area will be on the program, and it's for all vehicles, 4x4s, buggies, bikes, quads, SSVs and trucks !!!
The two major categories are divided into 2 further categories, "race" or "raid", the latter will take the same routes but is not against the clock.
- NEW: for those of you who don't like road-books there's a new category Track GPS. The same course without the navigation risk. In version race or raid.
