Due to the current situation caused by the pandemic Covid-19, the Tinhari Sand Race is canceled.

raid 4x4 - Tinhari Sand Race 2020

A worthy successor!

The Tinhari Sand Race is the logical and true successor to the Sahari Rally, it's organized and led by the same team that has worked on the Sahari Challenge since 2015.

They have also collaborated with a number of other rallies: Paris-Dakar, Silk Way Rally, Libya Rally, Desert Express, Rally Morocco, Tuareg Rally and many more.

The Tinhari Sand Race wants to reconnect with the philosophy of the first rally-raids! The organisers have prepared an extremely innovative edition orientated towards adventure and individual performance. At the same time, they provide an even higher level of security with private and military air support, as well as 4X4 ambulances on the ground.

From February the 6th to the 18th, 2020! In the stunning setting of the legendary Algerian desert. Don't miss it!

The concept

The Tinhari Sand Race takes its name from Tinariwen "The deserts" in the Touareg language.

It's a beautiful human adventure with the values of the great mythical rallies, where driving and navigation skills are fundamental.

The Tinhari Sand Race is:

  • A date has been fixed at the beginning of the year to fit into the international calendar,
  • 7 extraordinary stages, and a marathon stage (without assistance)
  • 3,000 km of tracks and sand
  • Short links
  • 5 nights at the hotel
  • 6 sumptuous bivouacs
  • A very attractive price
