4x4 Travel - En Busca de la Luz

Solidarity first!

Mauricio, whose heart belongs to the island of Majorca and also Argentina, is passionate about photography and documentary films. A passion he has turned into his profession.

Since he was young he has dreamed of travelling in a 4x4 and making a documentary film on solidarity.

He decided to focus on the lives of volunteers and all those who work in the humanitarian field. This is where the name comes from: En busca de la Luz (in search of the Light) in reference to the light which shine out of all the people who devote themselves to others.

Aboard his 1987 Mitsubishi Montero 2.5 td , he travelled to Eastern Europe, Russia and Mongolia.

The idea is then to rally Alaska to the West Coast of the United States, through Central America and the Andes, to reach Junin de los Andes.

April 2016

Mauricio has been  "stuck" in Mongolia since last October.

A complicated problem with his 4x4, has forced him to stay put.

Never mind, hes delighted with the situation, as he says "everything has a meaning, nothing happens by chance." This incident allows him to work closely with an orphanage, where he teaches Spanish to the children and especially where he is actively involved in a volunteer action.

Until when?

Hard to tell. For now, the 4x4 is not roadworthy. Mauricio has decided to visit Mongolia and spend time with the children, and let fate decide his next destination!
