When escaping rhymes with travelling ...
This is what the Moemoea Trip is all about, escaping to discover new places and people by turning their dreams into reality. They couldn’t of chosen a better name " moemoea "means dream in Tahitian!
Three continents are on the agenda: Europe, Asia and America.
To take full advantage of their trip they will be travelling in a Ford Ranger with a self-built cabin, with the equally evocative name of: Faré Night ( Faré means “house” ).
They plan to leave in mid April 2017, and they’ll be back when they’re back!

End of October & November - From Turkey to Italy, then back to France
Murielle & Laurent finished their beautiful journey on December the 1st , 2017.
After an amazing journey of 50,000 km they are taking a break before heading off again but this time without their vehicle “Fare-Night”.
We wish them an excellent continuation!

July - Russia & Mongolia
May-June - Norway & Finland
Let’s meet them!
Up until now they have always travelled with the family, and only during the school holidays. Now that the children are grown up, Murielle and Laurent for their 50th birthday have decided to travel just the two of them.
Route
Our travellers plan to pass through Scandinavia on their way to Mongolia, then on to Russia looping back round to France.
Then they are off to Southeast Asia. The program includes:
- Thailand
- Burma
- Laos
- Cambodia
- Vietnam
The icing on the cake will be a year in : South America. After that who knows!
Faré Night – The 4x4
Fare Night is the name of their Ford Ranger from 2014.
Faré means house in Tahitian, an apt name for what will be their home for an undefined length of time.
It’s a 4x4 pickup with a customised cabin and pop up top.
4 seats, a more substantial body to increase the living space, and a better load capacity to improved their autonomy.
The cabin is, of course, indispensable for this kind of journey. After discovering the advantages of travelling with one, our adventurers couldn’t do without it!
- Full rigid pop up roof.
- Maximum height 2.25m so that they can use a shipping container.
- 4 beds with the possibility of using the lower beds with the roof down in anticipation of the strong winds of Patagonia.
- Kitchen, WC, fridge, inside shower even if the outside shower is privileged
- Heating to avoid moisture
