At the school of life, in a Defender !
Jill and Clement hesitated before embarking on this magnificent journey. It’s not surprising, travelling cross a continent with two young children and two dogs in a Defender, really is an Adventure !
After a lot of thought and planning, their desire to show their children the world and discover new cultures and horizons was stronger than anything. So the family will soon be on their way.
On the program: crossing of the American continent, from Argentina to Alaska.
We are eager to follow them, from a distance of course, for a journey which begins in September 2017 and is expected to finish in late August 2019 !

August - Back to France!
Our friends are back in France...
The adventure is not over yet. They’ve visited South America and are back relaxing in France, catching up with family and friends and looking for a new vehicle.
The plan is to leave in a few months for Central America and North America. For this part of their adventure, they are looking for a different vehicle. Check out their videos perhaps you can help them. We of course want them to choose a 4x4!
We will meet them again soon for a second part of Raised on the road, which we’re looking forward to!
June & July - Colombia
Clement, Jill and the children are now in Colombia with the 4x4.
Clement surprised the family with a trip to the Galapagos. They swam with turtles, sharks, ray fish, and discovered a paradise!
April - May - They're in Ecuador!
February - March - Bolivia and Peru
January - Still in Bolivia
Our friends were stuck in the jungle for five days because of flooding and their Def has a problem. The drive shaft has snapped in two.
They are now in Santa Cruz de la Sierra waiting for the part that will allow them to continue their journey!
November - December: Chile & Bolivia
October-November- Argentina
After finally recovering their Defender, they’re off on their adventure!
The family discovered the many wonders of the Valdes peninsula in Argentina !

Their vehicle
It is a Land Rover Defender 130 TD4, with 110,000 kms on the clock a double cabin and 5 seats.
The vehicle has been perfectly equipped to live comfortably.
A metal structure houses a kitchen and storage space. A large storage drawer is mounted on skateboard bearings, particularly strong they can withstand a heavy load.
A solar panel provides electricity for the fridge and the lights.
