Yes a girl alone in Africa, in a 4x4 making her dreams come true!
Charline is dynamic, enthusiastic, and independent and believes that "life is now, and not tomorrow, nor yesterday".
In 2020 she spent seven months travelling in Southern Africa and Ethiopia. Now she’s about to leave aboard her Toyota Hilux Rafiki for a new tour of Africa and the Middle East, combining her love of off-roading and her passion for the African continent!
An absolutely fascinating journey, which starts at the end of January 2022, and finishes who knows when!

Rafiki has arrived in Cape Town! The adventure can begin!

Charline has finally sent Rafiki to Africa!
She found a solution via the port of Hamburg, so she travelled from Istanbul to Hamburg so that she could ship out her Toyota Hilux.
Destination: Cape Town, arrival scheduled for May 1st.
In the meantime, Charline is back in Turkey, and in mid-April, she’ll travel to South Africa to wait for Rafiki's arrival and start, for real, her dream!

After an involuntary delay, due to the pandemic situation and other setbacks, Charline was finally able to get started!
She was excited to get to Africa as quickly as possible so she’s crossed Europe in record time, and is now in Turkey!

These words perfectly sum up who Charline is, a free spirit.
Originally from France, she’s based in the UK. She’s been travelling solo for almost 15 years now!
She started travelling in Ethiopia and Southern Africa in December 2019. It was the beginning of an adventure of sharing and meeting with tribal communities in remote areas. Today, she is more determined than ever to get back on the road and back to Africa!

She’s just bought a Toyota Hilux Rafiki which she is currently equipping.
Her plan is to drive from France to South Africa via the Middle East. Charline has a lot of projects which we will discover along the way. There’s no fixed time, but she reckons it will take between 1 and 2 years.

Charline has a route mapped out but this could change. She is going to be travelling for some time so lots of things could happen along the way that could change her plans!
