When Jungle Family’s desire to change lifestyle and explore the world became too strong nothing was going to stop them!

They plan to leave in December 2022 for on a beautiful journey full of wonderful surprises and adventures.

On the Road!

December 2022 - Venezuela

Let’s meet them.

Arnaud, 33 is a  telecom technician and Angie 32 is a nursing assistant.

They met when they were 14 and 15 and over the years they’ve had two children, Driss, 12 and Louka, 8 and renovated their home. Now it’s time for a change in life, a new challenge and a different pace. The family will be on the road for a year giving free rein to their desire for travel and discovery.

The journey

They will start by flying to Venezuela. From there, they will go to French Guiana to pick up their vehicle and begin the adventure that will lead them to:

  • Brasil

  • Bolivia
  • Peru

Their vehicle

It’s a Land Rover Defender 130 TD4 that we know well, as it has already travelled in America with Clem and Jill from Raised on the Road.

The vehicle has 166,000 km on the clock and was already well equipped with a bull bar, winch and protective plates, spare wheel carrier, reinforced shock absorbers, Koni Red suspensions, snorkel and an additional tank under the rear seat of 40L.

Arnaud has changed the interior layout:

  • New roof tent.
  • Installation of 2 large central drawers.
  • Bathroom with shower.
  • Left side kitchen cabinet, with built-in fridge and storage.
  • Space provided for the stove and front Runner shelf fixed to the outside as a worktop. An awning completes the kitchen area.
  • Installation of a diesel heater coupled with a heat exchanger provides hot water and heating for cool nights.
  • A flexible solar panel installed on the shell of the tent with a splitter coupler, which covers their electrical needs.
  • There are 3 water reserves, one of 40l on the gallery and another of 40l of drinking water located behind the bench seat. And a 70L shower tank.
