OverSand is a new race concept in the Algerian desert, surrounded by beautiful scenery, which has been the backdrop for many rallies!

Organised by AIO France, live an adventure in ideal safety conditions.
Categories and Organization
- Raid Category: discovery, navigation and regularity. Category "No stopwatch", accessible to all vehicles. This category allows time to meet the locales.
- Chrono Category (against the clock): For a more exciting faster race. This category is open to all FIA and FIM standardized vehicles. It’s a race about rankings and rewards. Fixed waypoints: on every other check point to simplify the installation of the assistance and for the spectators. A mixture of classic tracks and loops on each stage. There is no exclusion from the race or penalties for competitors that are unable to finish a stage. Competitors can resume the race after repairs (mechanical or physical) and remain in the rankings.
- Simple registration forms, clear and"All Inclusive".
Organisation
OverSand is regulated by the territorial and medical security. Supervised by experienced volunteers from the AIO association, which has been organising rally raids since 1987 and with assistance from the FASM, Federation Algerians for mechanical sports.
OverSand Collaborates with the highest Algerian authorities, the ministry of tourism, interior and the army. There’s air support, an experienced medical team, support vehicles, and a vehicle locating and navigation system.
