The brake booster, also known as the mastervac, is located between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. Its purpose is to significantly reduce the effort needed by the driver to press the brake pedal.

When should you replace the brake booster?

It's time to replace the brake booster if the brake pedal doesn’t return to its original position by itself or if it becomes much harder to press, resulting in longer braking distances.
