The factory fitted steering damper on your 4x4 is generally well-tuned for the vehicle and does a great job under normal driving conditions. However, there are reinforced models available for those who venture beyond the usual. These reinforced dampers are typically stiffer than the original ones and are recommended for those who like to drive 'fast' on tracks, or for those involved in competitive racing or raiding. It's also advisable to opt for a reinforced model if you significantly increase the size of your 4x4's wheels, as this also increases the stress and impact on the vehicle.
