The clutch slave cylinder is connected by a flexible and/or rigid pipe to the clutch master cylinder. It's the clutch fluid in the circuit that enables the transfer of action from the pedal to the clutch fork.

When should you change the clutch slave cylinder?

In case of a leak in the clutch slave cylinder, the pedal's pressure is insufficient to disengage the clutch. It becomes impossible to shift gears properly without damaging the gearbox. Therefore, it's urgent to replace the clutch slave cylinder. There are clutch slave cylinder renovation kits available that offer a more cost-effective solution.
