Free wheeling hubs - automatic - AVM
With this type of automatic locking hub also known as free wheeling hubs, you no longer have to get out of the vehicle to manually set the hubs to 4x4 (Lock) or 4x2 (Free), as the names suggest, this happens automatically.
An automatic locking hub operates somewhat like a bicycle freewheel. The hub has two parts, the housing of the automatic locking hub is connected to the wheel hub, and the locking mechanism of this automatic locking hub is connected to the axle-shaft.
