What is a Vacuum pump?
The vacuum pump is an essential component in a diesel engine. Its main function is to assist braking. By creating an air vacuum behind a diaphragm in a braking member called the brake booster, it combines the force of atmospheric pressure with the brake pedal to take the strain off the driver.
