4x4 Travel - N'Homade

The legendary Pan-American route: Ushuaia to Anchorage!

28,000 kilometres and 17 countries to discover aboard their own vehicle. What a beautiful dream!

Well Valentin and Laetitia are turning the dream into a reality: N Homade (a mixture of "Nomade" and "Home").

The purpose of the trip is to find other ways to live and house people using different building methods and raw materials.

They will be leaving in October 2015, and are due to return 15 months later. What an experience!

They're on their way!

Who are they?

Laetitia

Is a 28-year-old architect, reporter and team manager.

Calm and organized, her managerial qualities are put to good use in the association. Adventurer but a bit of a moaner, she loves vegetables, meditation, DIY and rummaging around flea market. A big fan of recycling, she can give a second life to any object.

Valentin

Is also 28 and an architect plus photographer, driver and cook.

Originally from Brittany, he’s a creative and a passionate photographer. He will be responsibility for the media side of the project and in modest epicurean style; he will also be the cooking for the team. He likes street art, and the mountain. He hates waste and everything "bling- bling".

Why this journey?

Valentin and Laetitia are passionate about architecture and travel. Combining these two passions seems perfectly natural to them!

Their aim is to study in each of the countries that they visit the Vernacular architecture.

Whats "Vernacular"?

"Vernacular architectureis a category of architecturebased on local needs, constructionand it reflects local traditions, savoir-faire and the capacity of the habitants to cooperate with each other.  This project represents a real initiation journey for us, we will study the local architecture and the number and varied ways of living that the planet offers us."
