A Defender for a very Mediterranean trip!
Alexandre knows that a Defender can go anywhere, that’s why he chose a Land Rover Defender TD4 to circumnavigate the Mediterranean for six months!
Alex and his dog Orsu, will crisscross Europe and North Africa, aboard his 4x4 which will allow him to get into the wild and as close as possible to the mountains.
Alex plans to travel for six months, leaving in late November 2022.

Let's meet them
- Alexandre, 22, was born and brought up in Ajaccio in Corsica. He has just finished his degree in engineering, specialising in renewable energy. He’s passionate about nature and the mountains. He does mountain running, cross-country skiing, mountain climbing and cycling.
- He’s setting off on a 6-month adventure with his 6-month-old dog called Orsu, which means bear in Corsican.

The vehicle
- His vehicle is a 5-door, 2007 Land Rover Defender TD4, with 110,000 km on the clock. It has a Front Runner Slimline II gallery, on which there is a long-range LED bar as well as storage boxes; a ladder at the rear of the vehicle provides access. The vehicle has been reinforced on the sides and at the front with a bumper and a bull bar as well as a protective plate for the underside. There is also a snorkel for crossing streams and sand plates.
- The interior of the vehicle is a modular layout that Alex made in wood with plenty of storage space. There’s a living space, which can be converted into a sleeping area if needed. Alex will mostly use the roof tent which is fitted on the gallery. Additional equipment includes a 35L fridge, a gas water heater as well as a hand shower, an additional 40L + 20L tank and a double burner stove.
